Job Description

To be carried out in accordance with company operating procedures and to the specified standard. Reporting to the Carpet Workshop Supervisor, this position will be responsible for preparing and cutting carpet to aircraft specification, which will then be distributed to bases for planned fitment for our airline customers.

  •  Identifying and preparing aircraft carpet sets for an array of aircraft types and customer airlines.
  • Accurately manufacturing aircraft carpet sets using customer drawings and templates to industry specifications.
  • To gain knowledge and learn the use of the carpet overlocking machines.
  • To gain an understanding of our EASA Part 21 Subpart G Production Organisation Approval, SMS and Quality Control Procedures.
  • To aid in the packing and dispatching of the completed carpet sets, to our other bases across the country and to our various customers around the world.


  • Basic engineering knowledge.
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or upholstery industry is an advantage, although full on the job training will be given.
  • Ability to read and manufacture work to engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and independently.
  • Ability to consistently produce work to a high standard.
  • An awareness of basic safety.
  • Ability to work under strict time constraints.
  • Ability to be flexible with regard to hours of work/overtime.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
