London Stansted Airport has recently commenced its £600m Transformation programme, which expects to deliver additional airport capacity to support passenger growth up to 43m, making best use of its existing runway assets. The Stansted Transformation programme will deliver a step change in customer constraints experienced today over the next 2-3 years.
In this high profile role, you’ll provide exceptional finance business partner support to our key Commercial functions at Stansted Airport. You will build effective working relationships with your senior stakeholders (up to Airport CEO), providing decision making support through first class financial information reporting, analysis, insight and challenge, to help drive, influence and shape commercial deals, financial plans, as well as advising on future business strategy and investment choices.
Reporting into the Stansted Airport Finance Director (and deputise in their absence), you will lead a team of two direct reports covering commercial income (c£350m per annum), passenger forecasting for c29m passengers, associated commercial cost base and CAPEX, and effectively support delivery of short to long-term business plan objectives, particularly noting their impact on the Stansted Transformation Programme.
You will also support the Stansted Chief Operating Officer and Commercial teams by leading the annual business planning and reforecasting processes, support the Stansted Finance Director with the airline consultations, support forward looking, large scale and / or high-impact investment decisions and support effective financial planning.
You will keep up to date with and share external industry perspectives and good practice to help deliver measurable improvements in the approach to business decision making, value for money return and risk management.
· Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant PQE gained within a Commercial Business Partnering role within a fast moving, similar size, complex organisation.
· Passion for and proven success in building successful relationships with the business.
· Proven track record in analytical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
· Knowledge and understanding of management and financial accounting processes and systems.
· Proven ability to present a compelling argument through written, numerical and oral presentations.
· Ability and flexibility to plan, organise and prioritise demanding workloads.
· Effective Stakeholder Management and influencing skills, able to challenge appropriately at all levels.
· Strong IT system orientation including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills and experience of financial modelling. Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.
