As a Cleaning Excellent Manager, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of cleaning excellence standards across the Airport Site. To be successful in this role you will need demonstrable leadership experience in managing large teams, previous experience in delivering change and have proven forward planning skills while driving a strong H&S culture across the teams.


Principle Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for operational delivery of cleaning excellence standards across the site
  • Oversee performance auditing, monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure Co-ordination and planning activities are undertaken and reviewed to maximise delivery options and compliance
  • Ensure O&M’s and Asset information is correct and up to date
  • To lead operational discussions and solution implementation
  • Promote and drive an innovative approach to achieving objectives, making best use of the latest industry techniques with a view to realising best practice
  • Manage any necessary remedial action when services do not meet the required standard
  • Delivery of continuous improvement, efficiencies and partnering proposals
  • Manage the relationship with our all stakeholders including airlines, government agencies and STAL staff
  • Strategically review operational requirements versus customer forecasts and stand planning
  • Continually identify new and emerging technologies and service improvements across all shift patterns
  • Ensure full health and safety compliance and drive a strong health and safety culture across the Cleaning Excellence Teams
  • Fully responsible for the delivery of the SLA’s and KPI’s set for the successful delivery of Soft Services



We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with experience of working on a large footfall cleaning provision. You will need strong leadership and communication skills and can make key decisions when required.  It is also crucial to this role you successfully manage and develop your team and can build relationships with both internal Management teams and external stakeholders.


  • H&S qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) including COSHH
  • Excellent leadership qualities and ability to drive cultural change
  • Excellent technical knowledge of cleaning services
  • Designing and delivering targets to achieve quality standards and customer satisfaction
  • Project Management and the ability to oversee minor works programmes
  • Ability to work and move cross functionally
  • Self-motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills is essential
  • Financial awareness with experience of effectively controlling service budget
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence and motivate at all levels
  • Organised with a proven record of reporting and information sharing
  • IT literate, able to understand asset management systems and effectively use Microsoft Office
  • Capable of managing change quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining effective service provision
  • Analytical mind who can bring clarity to difficult situations
  • Ability to work well with others and continue to deliver results under pressure
  • Ability to work and move cross functionally

Salary circa £35,000.00 plus shift allowance


Shift - The airport is a 24/7 operation and shifts will reflect this
