Location: - Stansted

Salary: £19,921.06 per annum

  • Driving license required for the role.
  • Forklift and mandatory freight handling training will be conducted to the successful candidates.

Shifts - 40 hours per week

Shift Details/ Hours: - 40 hours per week –

Sunday/Monday rostered off. Tues/Weds/Thurs 12.00 to 20.30. Friday 11.00 to 20.00. Saturday 07.00 to 15.30

“Working a rotating roster covering a 4 week cycle, this to include working some Saturdays.

Fork Lift and mandatory freight handling training will be conducted to successful candidate. Follows established procedures & uses mandatory safe working practices when loading/offloading vehicles& different types of aircraft containers (ULD’s, AMJ’s etc). Includes the use of special lifting equipment, as & when needed. Co-ordinates the loading/offloading of trucks as needed”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using Ground Support Equipment in order to lift and move freight.
  • Offloading pallets/Containers (ULD’s, AMJ’s) onto/off different types of aircraft.
  • Performing defined pre and post flight checks including checks on all equipment and if/when necessary fuelling the equipment in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Co-ordinates the loading/offloading of trucks as needed.
  • Checking documentation.
  • Securing the airplane and performing related preparation procedures in accordance with local airport procedures.

You will be an integral part of the team and ensure our customers packages are loaded on and off our aircraft quickly and safely. We will train you with the specialist skills to operate a wide range of equipment, including safely marshalling and directing our planes whilst on the ground.

A good team player, you will have excellent attention to detail and be able to make quick, accurate decisions in a fast moving environment showing a total commitment to safety. You will also need to be flexible regarding shifts/hours.
