  • Provide Architectural design services across all RIBA stages to support major capital delivery programmes at Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands Airports;

The role:

Working within an established and dynamic team of architects, you will:

  • Provide Architectural design services across all RIBA stages to support capital delivery programmes; facilitate strategic decision making; engage key stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions for terminals, retail and property projects of varying complexity; manage 3rd Party Architecture & Engineering Consultancies and engage with contractors to resolve site-specific queries.
  • Develop sustainable, creative and cost-efficient design solutions that meet capacity demands.
  • Develop and manage a team of two colleagues.


You can choose to be based at either Stansted, Manchester or East Midlands Airport. You will need to travel across all MAG airport sites as required, depending on the programme of projects and priorities.



  • Architectural degree, with sufficient post-qualification experience to provide subject matter expertise to senior stakeholders.
  • Essential experience includes:
    • Led projects and/or considerable packages of work within larger projects
    • Managed multidisciplinary teams effectively and collaboratively
    • Infrastructure design across different RIBA design stages
    • Clear communication skills, verbal and written to convey, engage and inform multiple stakeholders
    • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of BIM/CAD/Adobe suite software.
    • Technically proficient, able to resolve issues arising at any stage of the construction lifecycle.
  • Desirable experience includes:
    • International experience working in large-scale, complex transport projects
    • Aviation planning knowledge of key airport flows and processes, trends and emerging technologies
    • Project delivery within live operational environments



Interviews will be at the MAG location of your choice and will be held during mid to end January.

We are offering a competitive salary of £54-£58k (dependent upon experience) plus bonus, pension and flexible benefits
